Michael Bucell has been the secretary of NWPPA since 2015 and has been a member of NWPPA since 2001. Now retired, he used to serve as the Director of the Counseling Center at Edinboro University (now known as Penn-West). His professional interests are expanding the availability of mental health services and ensuring that the public has access to these services. He achieved an M.A. and in 1975, graduated with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Kent State University. He notes that NWPPA can offer new members opportunities for continuing education, academic presentations, access to a newsletter, and an affiliation with a local group of professionals.
